I will leave Friday night on a three week vacation to Europe! For those of you who are curious, I’ll be visiting: The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, France, U.K., and Ireland. Whether I’ll have internet access, even for a short while, I don’t know. So to be on the safe side, I’ll just say that I won’t approve any news comments or answer any e-mails in the coming weeks.

Bye and I hope you guys have a wonderful summer!

EDIT: I saw Wanted and it was AWESOME! A lot of the actions scene were so ridiculous, it was obvious that they could never be done in real life, but they were still so cool. I don’t want to spoil the movie but all I’ll say is this:

Best. Suicide. Ever.

Iron Man was AWESOME! The movie definitely did not disappoint. I was suppose to go for the 8:00 P.M. showing but it was sold out! The showing after is, 8:45 P.M., ended up being sold out too! I had to go to the 9:30 P.M. showing, but it was worth the wait. Jon Favreau definitely struck a good balance between comedy and adventure.

I’m surprised I liked Gwyneth Paltrow’s character, Pepper Potts, since in most movies the female character annoys the hell out of me! Mary Jane, Lois Lane, Rachel Dawes, and Sue Storm just to name a few.

God, this movie is just screaming for a sequel! Especially for the Avengers! Haha, the only people who stayed after the credits seemed to be comic book fans because when Samuel L. Jackson turned around and said he was Nick Fury, everyone was like “WHOOOOO”. I squealed with exitement LOL.

Can’t wait for War Machine and alcoholic Tony Stark in Iron Man 2! This is definitely one of the best comic book movies I’ve seen. Thank God it didn’t end up like last years Ghost Rider, which ended up being very disappointing! Like Iron Man, I did research on the character and it’s mythology. Also like Iron Man, I fell in love with the character! Unfortunately, Ghost Rider ended up being a huge disappointment! Thank goodness Iron Man ended up being good (and received well by critics).

The only thing I didn’t like is that they didn’t give any background history for the supporting characters, even just a little would have been good.

I feel that if someone else had been cast as Tony Stark, the movie would not have been anywhere near as good as it is with Robert Downey Jr. Just as Hugh Laurie’s fantastic acting on House,MD helped get the show to return for a second season when it first launched, Robert Downey Jr. is what helped the movie be so awesome. Also, I’m not saying that the supporting cast members for Iron Man or House are bad at acting, they’re all fantastic actors; it’s just the main actors that helped make both fandoms very good.

For a comic book movie, I give it a 8/10.

On the other hand, this just ruined my day; Catwoman was cancelled. :(

Should You or Should Not?

This has been bugging me for a while. Since I can’t explain it well, I’ll just give you an example.

The artist Greg Horn allows/encourages people to make signatures and avatars from his work. He also doesn’t mind when people photoshop some of his work to look funny. Do you think it would be ok if someone made a signature and/or avatar without asking for his permission? Chances are he won’t mind, so do you think you shouldn’t bother e-mailing him to ask?

Or do you think you should e-mail him to ask anyways?

Would it matter if he refuses to let you use it? A lot of his work belongs to companies so if they allowed you to use his work, would his refusal be overwritten?(Unlikely scenario)

If a company encourages fan art/fiction and so does an artist, should you ask for permission anyways or do you think that it shouldn’t matter?

That thought pops in my head every once in a while. Especially now that I’m thinking of starting up a few fan listings. :P
